“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety…”
Since Street Pastor began we have trained over 12,000 street and prayer pastors, who have played an active part in strengthening community life and working for safer streets. Currently, more than 240 town and cities around the UK have a Street Pastors team. When you add prayer pastors, management teams and trustees, this means that there are over 20,000 volunteers in total associated with the Street Pastors network.
The Street Pastor serve by offering support to people in the night-time economyWhichever context they are in, street pastors offer reassurance, safety and support through caring, listening and helping. They work together with other partners to make communities safer.
Caerphilly Street Pastor are part of a national team first pioneered in 2003, our first patrols started in 2011.
Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches and we care about our community.
We are usually on patrol from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. on a Saturday night to care for, listen to and help people who are out on the streets.
We are led by our local coordinator and we also have support from local churches
